1. Liquid Spring Application (April - May)
A spring feeding strengthens roots & gets the lawn off to a good start before the heavy growing season. In areas where crabgrass is a problem, it is wise to apply a combination fertilizer with a pre-emergent to control crabgrass.
High Nitrogen Fertilizer
Pre-Emergence Crabgrass Control
Broadleaf Weed Control
Complete Balanced Fertilizer
2. Dry Summer Application (June - August)
Hot days of summer mean heat, drought, foot traffic & insects that can add stress to a lawn. An application at this time will protect & strengthen these problems. If insects are a problem in your lawn, consider a combination fertilizer with insect control at this time of year.
Organic Based Slow-Release Fertilizer
Slow-Release Fertilizer with Micro-Nutrients & Weed Control
IMPORTANT INSECT INFORMATION
Grub Preventative Applications we will once again be offering Merit Insecticide.
A new product called “Allectus” which is a new innovative, dual-action insecticide that controls all major surface-feeding & subsurface turf insects with just one application a year. Allectus combines the insect-fighting power to control insects above & below the ground surface. In extensive testing, Allectus has been shown to achieve 90 percent or greater control against destructive pests, including white grubs, chinch bugs, sod webworms, cutworms & armyworms. It effectively controls multiple insect stages for flexible application options & has up to 12 weeks of residual control.
We are confident Merit &/or Allectus will provide season long control & protect your lawn from insect damage. Please call our office today if you are interested in adding a grub or insect preventative application to your program.
